maiolini-agenzia-immobiliare-grotte-frasassi-1The Frasassi Caves discovered in 1971, a way of entering this fantastic underground world hidden under the Vallemontagna mountain, a 200 metre tunnel leading to the Frassassi Gorge. The Caves, which  represent a particularly desirable destination for tourist coming from all parts of Italy and Europe, were discovered in 1971 by the CAI Marche Speleological group from Ancona and opened to the public in 1974.
This fascinating underground world is populated by unusual rock formations called  stalagmites. There are also many small lakes and rooms with crystal and alabaster arabesques to be admired. The temperature inside the Caves remains constant at 14°C.
